Self-knowing is a radical act.

“Liberation is a praxis:”

“…the action and reflection of men and women upon their world in order to transform it.”

~Paolo Freire

The path of change is a self-led one; at times, it is easier to move into the unknown when someone else holds the lamp. How will you move beyond who/what you are into what you will be come?

“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.”

Audre Lorde tells us that in order to be our best and truest selves, we have to care for ourselves, deeply, passionately, intensely. Self-care extends beyond pedicures and iced coffees. Radical self-care pushes us into self-compassion, self-nourishment, and self-exploration.

“Rebecca, I am so impressed with your wealth of knowledge and your perspective.  I would have believed you had been in the field much longer than your years.”

“It is not the place of the theatre to show the correct path, but only to offer the means by which all possible paths may be examined.”

~Augusto Boal
